Welcome to the home page of the Graham Police Department Citizens Auxiliary.  Below is the by Laws and names of the members.  We meet once a month on Wednesday night at 8:00pm at the Graham Police Department.  (For further information contact Mike Watkins at Germania Ins.)  If you are interested we are a community organization that is dedicated to helping and serving our community.  If you would like to be considered for membership please call the president at Germania Insurance Office.


Citizen’s Auxiliary By-Laws

1. At the request of the Graham Police Department, the auxiliary will assist in the event of a major disaster or declared emergency affecting the citizens of Graham.

2. At the request of the Graham Police Department, the auxiliary will aid in the control of traffic, maintenance of order at public events, and general policing of large assemblies of people.

3. At the request of the Graham Police Department, the auxiliary will assist officers at the scene of a crime or accident in accordance with the policies, rules and regulations set forth by the Graham Police Department.

4. Auxiliary monthly dues are to be paid on (or prior to) the day of each monthly meeting.

5. The auxiliary will maintain a running log of all activities while on duty and keep minutes of all official meetings.

6. Auxiliary members will help maintain a sound community relations attitude.

7. Auxiliary members must wear the prescribed identification or uniform while on duty.

8. Auxiliary members must perform all related duties as may be assigned by the Graham Police Department.

9. All new members must attend and graduate the Citizen's Police Academy within one year of joining the auxiliary (unless other adequate training has been completed and approved by the Graham Police Department).

10. Auxiliary members must attend training classes as needed (or at the request of the Graham Police Department).

11. Auxiliary members must refrain from unlawful gatherings, unlawful conduct, and any unlawful activities.

12. The Graham Police Department and/or the auxiliary has the authority to revoke any auxiliary membership if a member has displayed any act that is detrimental to the Graham Police Department or the auxiliary.
